Grab-n-Go Meals Extended
Beginning Monday, September 21st, Hillsborough County Public Schools will be serving nutritious meals atno cost to all children 18 and under. The USDA is now providing adequate funding for us to expand this meal service model to our community. With this said, all brick and mortar students will receive a free and nutritious hot meal in our school cafeterias and students who are learning virtually will be able to pick-up their free Grab-and-Go meals at one of 75 school sites identified in the graphic below and based on the three-times a week distribution.
In an effort to further support community members in need, all children 18 and under are eligible for this service whether enrolled in Hillsborough County Public Schools. All 75 Grab-and-Go sites will be open Monday and Wednesday ONLY from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. for students and parents to pick up meals. Our Grab-and-Go initiative has been extended through December 2020 or until the allocated funding is exhausted.
I continue to be amazed at the hard work that each of you are exhibiting every day for our students and look forward to our work together. See you in the classrooms very soon!
