  • SCHOOL HISTORY

    Glenn H. Barrington Middle School, located at 5925 Village Center Drive in Lithia, Florida, opened its doors to 750 sixth through eighth graders on August 25, 2009. The school was dedicated on May 2, 2010. The school was named after Glenn Barrington, a career educator whose frank, no-nonsense attitude crowned his four terms on the Hillsborough County School Board. The school received an "A" 2010-2011, 2011-2012, 2012-2013, 2014-2015, 2015-16, 2016-17, and 2017-18. Maribeth Franklin-Brooks was the inaugural principal. Amy Rappleyea became the principal in 2012.
