Welcome to the Superintendent's Office
Preparing students for life will be our top priority. As Superintendent of Schools in Hillsborough County Public Schools, I look forward to achieving this goal by working collectively with educators and board members to create full-option graduates. Our focus in Hillsborough County Public Schools will remain constant, as all decisions will be made with our learners in the forefront. Under my leadership, we will continue to build systems of care and leverage the knowledge from our practitioners that will allow of students to discover endless possibilities. We will work daily to provide a quality education to every student, every day, and in every classroom and prepare our students for jobs that do not exist today. Our mission will be to build productive and sustaining relationships with all students that will lead them to become vibrant impactful civic leaders.
It is an exciting time for the Hillsborough County Public Schools and I look forward to sharing this journey with each of you as we seek to become a Premier School District in America.
Goals and Strategies
Student Learning objectives include: graduation rates, student achievement, attendance, behavior, course performance, and digital learning.
Tied to Talent Management are objectives that relate directly to HCPS employees and include: teacher effectiveness, leader effectiveness, teacher retention, leader retention, professional development, and diversity.
CULTURE & RELATIONSHIPS
The Culture & Relationships goal area is supported by objectives that include: stakeholder communication, family and community engagement, student advocacy, character development, and continuous improvement.
PROCESSES & FINANCIALS
Objectives related to Processes & Financials connect directly to district systems and resources which include: the Fund Balance, spending directed to instruction, audit results, school safety and security, customer service, process effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
