Important Information from Our Principal

May this communication find you and your family healthy and happy!
As of this email, all students are scheduled to begin eLearning on Monday, August 24th. Beginning Monday, August 31st, those families who have opted to send their children to school, may do so. The families who have chosen to remain eLearning will continue with on-line instruction.
Benito is working very hard to finalize student schedules. As of today, not all student schedules have been accurately completed. We expect our student schedules to be correct by Saturday, August 22nd. If you happen to see a schedule for your child before August 22nd, please know that it may be changed. Student schedules may become available for families to view in Canvas sometime later this week.
ForeLearning during the week of August 24th, please understand that there may be delays or issues getting started. Do not panic, it may take some time for all of the kinks to be worked out, our teachers understand this as well. Your child will not miss any mandatory curriculum the first week. If you haven’t signed on to Canvas, now would be a good time to download the application and familiarize yourself with the program.
Student hours this year are from 9:35am to 4:30pm. NO students are allowed on campus prior to 9:05. We do have a HOST program (fee based), before and after school hours if your family is in need of those services. Please help us make sure your children are not on campus, unsupervised, before 9:05.
If, and only if, you have previously signed up for a loaner device, you may pick it up on Thursday morning August 20th between 9am-10:30am. We will pass these devices out in the car line located at the front ofschool. Please stay in your car and a member of our staff will approach your vehicle to assist you. We will need your student’s name and student number in order to pass out the device. Only those who pre-ordered a device and come during this window of time will be eligible to receive a device. At this time, we are limited to one device per family.
Supply lists are specific to each subject and each teacher. You will receive that information from your teachers during the first week of school.
Our motto this year is “Flexibility with a smile” ... even if it is through a mask. Please continue to bear with us, we are working as diligently as we can to keep up.

If you have already created a district MySPOT account at http://myspot.sdhc.k12.fl.us/ to access Edsby or Online Report Cards, you do not have to create an account. The current email address and password you use to login will automatically work for Canvas.

If you have a rising 7th grader, you must provide the school with an updated immunization record that includes a Tdap booster before your student is allowed to come on campus. You may email these documents to Starla.Rohl@sdhc.k12.fl.us or drop them off to the front office at school by August 21st.
